Rodney John 'Rocket Rod' Romanak - Deceased
Rodney "Rocket Rod" John Romanak, 64, of Kailua-Kona died Feb. 4 at Kona
Community Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., he was a retired air traffic
controller at Keahole Kona Airport Tower and the owner of Rocket Suds
Homebrewing Equipment & Supplies, and an Air Force veteran. Celebration of Life
begins with the scattering of ashes at 9 a.m. April 2 at Pine Trees. At 1 p.m.,
friends and family will gather at Hawaii Big Game Fishing Clubhouse-Honokohau
Harbor for refreshments and "talk stories." Survived by wife, Cheryl Romanak of
Kailua-Kona; sons, Zachary (Brandi) Romanak of Huntington Beach, Calif., Jake
Romanak of Kailua-Kona; brother, John Romanak of Kailua Kona; two grandchildren.

Association (AHA) Homebrewer of the Year.
