Update 11/03/2009 - New email to go with my retired status. I hope to hear from some of my classmates.
I was Linda Joy Thomson at Radford and go by my middle name Joy. As you can see, I live and work in Nebraska. As of this fall I began working for Grand Island public schools. We are the special education providers for three counties in Central Nebraska. My job is to supervise all the birth to age five programs for children with disabilities for eighteen school districts. In addition, I supervise all the related service providers which include approximately 65 people (teachers, psychologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech-pathologist, educational consultants, classified staff etc.) It is a very interesting and rewarding job.
In addition to the information you found (B.S., Doane College; M.S., University of Nebraska-Lincoln) I have a Ph.D. in Special Education specializing in young children with disabilities and young children with behavior disorders as of last May and boy did I celebrate!!Back to Top
